   Huh.

   I’m not certain I even bought AGG. Probably did but if so I sold it soon after buying it. Interesting.

   I could not figure out why NVX went up today. Maybe a newsletter writer recommended it? On the other hand did not make much sense that it (or so many others) went down so very much in the past couple of years in my naive opinion. Anyone know what happened today? I saw nothing on the company website.

   Some follow-up on a former S-rock, VIT: I made some disparaging remarks recently about it, which more or less just followed some made by “Otto.” Otto notes today https://incakolanews.blogspot.com/2019/08/a-comment-on-victoria-gold-vitv.html how well VIT has been doing since his disparaging remarks and how wrong he has been so far (and thus how wrong I have been).

   If I recall correctly, Spock long long long ago had had similar concerns, namely lots of nice rock but financing worries–that ultimately the lenders might get most of the gold though not necessarily.

     I am having the hardest time figuring out whether to renew the Spock subscription. I hate owning these things that go up so much because some Moriarty type boosts them. I don’t even trust it when they go up because some bigger operator of the Legendary Investor category (Sprott, Beatty) buys them. If followers buy it so readily that means they’ll sell readily. Spock’s chart interpretation tends to respect the sudden activity that follows from the grabbing of these stocks by so many potential weak hands. It’s great for blatant bull markets. I wish there were a good early warning system for when the festival is starting to wind down just before it does.

     We may be in the beginning of a blatant bull market. Spock would be super for getting into and staying into these sorts of things.

     I just wish I could trust myself to sell all these suddenly-popular things in a downturn–for example, approximately year 2022 if as provisionally suggested by Northstar https://goldtadise.com/?p=448242#comments there is a downturn then.

     Then these people who know so little about a company that a few words by a Moriarty can cause them to do so much to up its share price will sell in a panic.

     In any case Spock seems to be good for helping find these stocks or so is my impression.

       Karl, I agree on your last sentence !
       Spock is a genius !
       However, even a genius looses its shine in a downturn !
       People go very fast from Hosanna to Crucifige !
       Pay a 6months subscription and put your rocks in order.

   Although this is good rock- it went thru reverse split 1:7..5 in April 2019.
   Should be in portfolio.

   The change in moods with tiny explorer-developers can be quite something. One moment there is gloom and vilification. Not much later enthusiasm-driven panic buying appears. Then perceptions and emotions revert entirely. The frequent dishonesty of managements, of the subscription services, of the promoters, all the others does not help. It is a scary thing.

   The enthusiastic buyers are as much of a potential problem as anyone else, because they sell fast. The companies that go up fast unless they have something exceptional going for them thus can be the absolute worst companies unless a sell is timed perfectly or they are bought at the bottom.

   One needs to be nimble. If one believes the projections of a massive move in Au one can do pretty well with some of the more conservative companies–which can be subject to their own problems as well. Yet these tiny companies that go up so fast just because of the breath of some tout sheet that makes their charts somehow look good for the time being — they are particularly scary. People should be terrified when they make paper gains with them.

   My opinions. Reminders I am trying to give to myself.

     Karl , regrading risk/valuation I agree with you. After recent spike AGG is not a cheap stock anymore compared with other developers in West Africa that have a proven resource and feasibility. If however they execute well in increasing resource and doing successful economic study in 2020, then more upside will follow.
