Following up on yesterday’s post about who would be named the new FED Chair and my question of “Who was playing who?”                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               It looks either, like Trump and the Europeans want to collapse the system, to usher in whatever new system they have planned, or a real battle of who decides what the new system will be and who will be in control.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               What neither of them realize, is that it will likely be the BRIC’s (mostly China) who will determine what comes next. “He who has the GOLD, makes the rules!”

he Canadian government is weighing whether to deploy a small contingent of troops to take part in training exercises in Greenland after several European and NATO member countries already sent in dozens of soldiers.

The discussions come as President Trump argues that the United States “needs” the Danish autonomous territory for national security reasons and has intensified his calls for Washington to take control of the island. The Europeans have clearly sent troops there for more than just “exercises” – but as a show of unity and “strength” in support of Denmark.

While no final decision has been made on a Canadian deployment, such an act would remain largely symbolic in nature – but Canadian leadership under the Carney government is likely very worried about needlessly provoking Trump’s wrath.

Most people have no idea how dangerous our current situation is.

The entirety of the Democrat Party are engaged in a treasonous coup and open rebellion against Trump, at the federal, state, and local levels.

It’s not as easy as just doing some paperwork and arresting people. It’s all one giant criminal conspiracy, imbedded within our own system. Uprooting it, while managing public perception, is not an easy or straightforward task.

This is why the Insurrection Act and the NG Quick Reaction Force are so important, because the enemy we are facing is within. Foreign adversaries have infiltrated the United States, and they used the Democrat Party as a vehicle to destroy this nation from within.

The US MIL must be on standby to safeguard the public, because the Dems are going to try to burn this nation to the ground in an attempt to avoid accountability for their crimes.

That’s what you are witnessing right now. A cold/warm civil war, that the Dems are trying to turn into a hot civil war.

For most investors who don’t understand the power of a bullish rising wedge, they have no clue how bullish the GDX really is. After breaking out from the multi-year H&S base, the GDX formed a bullish rising wedge as the backtest to the neckline. The second consolidation pattern is the October bullish rising wedge. IMHO, this is about as bullish as it gets.

Oh, and as an update, my bullish call spreads on GDX (June’s 90/130) up 70%, another 230% to my target (when GDX gets close to 130).

….that’s just what a prohpet would say.  Anyone?

So, looks like there is some interest in this stock…all aboard if you like it.

Here’s a great analogy as well….The silver sector of developers and explorers might total 300 billion.  In contrast, a single well-known “tech” stock like Netflix has a MCap of $370 billion, and a successful retailer like HD is 370 billion as well.  One of these is bigger than the whole junior silver sector…..hmmm.

How bout this?

Small silver producer at AISC of $20, Q4 Avg silver price of $55, profit per ounce $35

If today’s price were used as the average for Q1 2026 you’d have $93, the profit per ounce $73.

Silver increase of 69% has led to a 108% increase in profit per ounce, or free cash flow.  Once the analysts figure this out, silver stocks should advance rapidly.

In his latest missive JHK discusses Trump going to Davos and how he thinks things will play out.  I hope he is correct but I’m  not sure.  Why is Trump backing up on another issue?  This time it is who he will name as the new FED Chair.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       He has been dragging it out and playing games for six months. At first, it seemed his usual tactic of keeping everyone guessing and off balance.  That was OK for a few months and he led everyone to believe it would be Hasset or one of two current or former FED members.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              Now he is leading people to believe it is going to be Rick Reider, who I don’t know his whole track record, but DO know he is currently with Blackrock.  That is someone I don’t want leading the FED.  Is Trump playing the WEF, or is Larry Fink playing him?   We should have a better idea when he names his choice. https://www.kunstler.com/p/monsters-of-the-deep?

Will there be periods of gut wrenching volatility..I am sure.  But this is a gift….“It is a gift! A gift to the foes of Mordor!”, and of course, “Give Gondor the weapon of the enemy. Let us use it against him!”  

Use this chart as a common sense weapon to strike back at the hearts of all these corrupt government officials telling you what you can and can’t do, and keeping you a mindless drone arguing amongst ourselves instead of taking back our God given rights.  The power was always supposed to be with the people.  As one of the smartest founding fathers of the US stated, “When governments fear the people, there is liberty. … I have seen since some of the historical pictures of Russian leaders from the 70’s, but he usually is the guy to scream fire in the silver theatre before the end of the movie.  Interesting that he is saying that we aren’t there yet in silver according to his favorite DSI indicator, highlights of one of his recent articles below:

Tens of thousands of my regular readers know full well that I am the biggest contrarian in the resource space. While gold, silver, platinum and copper have been hitting new all-time highs again and again lately rational investors are looking for a pullback. Perhaps even a 50% pull back as gold did from 1974 into 1976 right in the midst of one of the greatest gold bull markets ever. But sometimes rational doesn’t necessarily mean right.

I track the Daily Sentiment Indicator every day, the DSI. Last Friday, January 16th the DSI for gold was 64 and 62 for silver. The highest for gold was 85 almost a month ago. That is not a top and much to my consternation even with new all-time high prices, the DSI has gone down for all the metals.

In my view the DSI is easily the single most valuable sentiment indicator I am aware of. I used it to great effect in late April of 2011 when I called the top in silver to the day. I can assure you that I pissed off a lot of the forever silver freaks that day. But the DSI for silver was 96% and it only hit 94% on January 21st of 1980 at the very top.

But there are other great sentiment indicators for the metals. I happen to like silver a lot so I also track the premium/discount number for the PSLV, the Sprott Silver ETF. Last Friday much to my surprise, PSLV was selling at a 4.7% discount, not a premium that you would expect at a top. In fact, the discount has only been higher three times between now and March of 2020 when it hit a discount of 10% right at the very bottom in the price of silver. In April of 2011 the premium at the top in silver was an incredible 26%.

In short, we are in an interesting era. The parabolic rise in the price of the metals has always marked major tops in the past. But this time does seem to be different. All the sentiment indicators that should be screaming, “TOP” are saying we are a long way from a major top or perhaps much of a correction.

I believe it is because of who controls the price of the metals. The attack on Venezuela and the upcoming massive bombing of Iran scheduled in the next month or so is not an attack on Venezuela or Iran. It’s an attack on China. One way for them to defend themselves is to attack the financial system of the US by dumping treasuries and buying metals.

I am a giant fan of buying things cheap and selling things deer. Silver, gold, platinum and copper are no longer cheap. They may well be cheap relative to where they plan on going in the future. I told people for years to buy them when they were cheap so if you are like me and owned silver under $5 and gold under $300 you are in the cat bird’s seat. But there is something absurdly cheap given $90 silver and $4600 gold. Something that doesn’t reflect the rocket ship ride higher in the metals.

This stock was super hot into October 2025, and has pulled back and has been consolidating ever since.  Good story with potential production in 2027.  Do your own DD, but I think it’s pretty close to being done with sideways, and will take off soon if gold continues it’s advance from here.  Notice the ever so subtle higher lows since November.  I own it…do you want to?

A lot of Canucks on this board, so you probably know Eric Sprott.  He no longer owns Sprott funds, but this is what his top 10 holdings are..FD, I own most of these beauties myself.  If this was a beauty pageant, I’d want to date all these lovely ladies.   And I don’t use this term in a bad way, please let me know if Canadians find this expression offensive.  I think it’s a great way to refer to Canadians.
