Located at RiverPlex MegaPark in Ascension Parish, Louisiana, the facility will produce 2.7 million metric tons of steel annually for Hyundai\u2019s U.S. auto plants.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">Oklahoma Primary Aluminum Smelter\u2014A joint venture between U.S.-based Century Aluminum (40%) and UAE\u2019s Emirates Global Aluminium (60%) to build the first new primary aluminum smelter in the U.S. since 1980. Located in Inola, OK, near Tulsa, the $4+ billion project will produce 750,000 metric tons annually\u2014doubling U.S. capacity\u2014with construction planned to start late 2026 and production by 2030, creating 1,000 permanent jobs plus 4,000 during construction.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">Century Aluminum South Carolina Revival\u2014 Century Aluminum is investing $50 million to restart its Mt. Holly smelter, idle since 2015. Located in Berkeley County, SC, the project returns production to 2015 peak levels\u2014over 200,000 tons per year.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">Mining and Materials Processing America is reclaiming control of the critical minerals that underpin every modern industry.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">MP Materials, Mountain Pass, CA\u2014Formerly operated as Molycorp, this was the world\u2019s leading mine and processor of rare earth minerals from the 1950s to the 1980s. But it shut down in 2002, unable to compete with China under the WTO regime. It is now back in operation with a $400 million Department of War investment.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">Korea Zinc Tennessee Refinery\u2014This $7.4 billion project includes a large modern smelter in Clarksville, TN, combined with a mine and processing facility in Gordonsville, TN. The new facilities will produce zinc, lead, copper, and rare earths. The U.S. Department of War holds a 40% stake.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">Michigan Potash and Agriculture Mine\u2014A $1.26 billion DOE loan guarantee and $80 million USDA grant, secured in 2025, set this project in motion to produce 10% of the country\u2019s requirement for potash fertilizer.
