\nPart XV laid out The Shift. Trump traded urgency for indifference. You, and Iran, were accustomed to deadlines. Trump was using them to create urgency, and it allowed him to create a negotiation chip out of thin air. But now we\u2019re at the point of negotiations where there are no deadlines, nor flights to Islamabad. Trump pulled the clock off the wall and put a phone on Iran\u2019s desk \u2014 then told the world via the press that Iran would have to call. But no rush!<\/p>\n
We\u2019re now in Part XVI of our negotiation series, and it starts with Iran calling. Sort of.<\/p>\n
