Ukraine\u2019s EU membership is disadvantageous for Hungary, as it “threatens its economy.” A significant issue is that the European Union allegedly has to support Ukraine\u2019s million-strong army, states Hungary’s Prime Minister Viktor Orb\u00e1n. Hungary has lost several billion euros over the past three years due to the war in Ukraine. Orb\u00e1n claims that the country would not be facing such economic problems if the money sent to Ukraine had remained in the European economy.<\/h4>\n
