How is that for social pushback? CNN said it was an \u201canti-feminist movement,\u201d and as evidence linked to amusing Instagrams like this one, as examples of modern young women \u201csneering\u201d at feminists:<\/p>\n
was curious, so I looked up the \u201csneering\u201d account. The author describes herself as an \u201cex-feminist\u201d and has 14,000 followers:<\/p>\n
I wonder how much this meme from her page has to do with the trend:<\/p>\n It seems fair to say men wearing makeup and women\u2019s clothes are, by definition, not \u201cmasculine.\u201d<\/p>\n CNN quoted another \u2018Tradwife\u2019 TikTok influencer, Estee Williams. Note that she is TWENTY FOUR.<\/p>\n As with the flat earthers, who cares if these young ladies prefer traditional relationships? How exactly is this anyone else\u2019s problem? CNN, of course, could barely contain its terror of the spreading social media phenomenon and ultimately linked it with, you guessed it, crypto-WHITE SUPREMACY.<\/p>\n Some tradwife accounts, for example, use rhetoric that nod to White nationalist ideas such as \u201creplacement theory.\u201d One tradwife influencer who goes by \u201cWife With A Purpose\u201d came under fire in 2017 for reportedly issuing a \u201cWhite baby challenge,\u201d in which she encouraged her followers to have as many White babies as her. (References to the challenge have since been removed from her online presence.) More recently, a popular tradwife Instagram account posted a Time magazine cover featuring Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle, labeling them as \u201cbeta male\u201d and \u201cmodern woman,\u201d respectively. \u201cThis is your sign to repopulate,\u201d the accompanying text read. Racism! And so anti-science! Don\u2019t they know men can be wives, too? These tradwives probably also deny climate change. I bet they do. We need Congress, or Karen, to do something about this tradwife movement before it spreads any further.<\/p>\n I could talk about pendulums or \u2018equal and opposite reactions\u2019, which have been part of human society since Noah tumbled out of the Ark. But what\u2019s even more interesting is how the entire federal apparatus is aimed at correcting a handful of heterodox women who just want to be left alone in their own homes.
