Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has threatened to take action against the province of Alberta\u2019s newly tabled \u201cSovereignty Act,\u201d which if passed would prevent \u201cunconstitutional\u201d federal government overreach into matters of provincial jurisdiction.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday, Alberta Premier Danielle Smith introduced\u00a0Bill 1:<\/a>\u00a0Alberta Sovereignty within a United Canada Act<\/i>\u00a0into the province\u2019s legislature, which most notably would help the province push back against federally-imposed rules that impact the region\u2019s oil and gas sector.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
