40 year Seasonal Gold Chart
I am posting the 40 Year Seasonal Gold Chart for your perusal.
Notice that there is a seasonal peak at the end of January.
Aligns perfectly with what happened this year with the gold price.
Then there is a bottom at the end of July/beginning of August.
Afterwards the biggest ride all year occurs topping out first week of October.
During Indian wedding season (NOV/Dec), early gold purchases start in July and run to Oct.

So my question to the group is…
Do any of you see signs of a bottoming out right now… this week or next?
What are your thoughts on this seasonal chart?
I am watching with great interest to see how things unwind.
Especially with so many market forecasters calling for Gold to $3500.
Cheers
Great points! Seasonality plays a big part in the whole picture.
Here is a 40 min video but can watch at 1.3x without loss of clarity.
In a Low Trust time as we are in now, with the weaponization of the USD, the move to a hard asset that is no ones liability makes a lot of sense. I watch Tom and Felix on a fairly regular basis as I enjoy Tom’s reasoning process whether I agree or not.
It does appear that the US under Bessent and Trump are going back to the Hamiltonian economy that made the US great after throwing off the British Empire.
I believe this video is a must to understand if you are on the fence regarding physical Gold in your custody.
Musical chairs comes to mind to describe Paper Gold which China is eliminating.
Hey Columbia, you forgot the video link!
Thanks
Sorry, here it is.

“signs of a bottoming out right now… this week or next?”
More like topping on my weeklies.
Still looking for late Aug potential bottom.
FOMC tomorrow though. Might be clearer afterwards.
“going back to the Hamiltonian economy”
That is another name for protectionism.
Only the US has already lost that which it might have protected. Decades ago.
Can it gain it back? Dunno.
India tried that formula. So did Brasil (informatica).
They wanted it all home grown. Both failed miserably.
But for the US, so did liberalism under Marshall Plan, Bretton Woods, WTO and GATT.
Maybe yes for US, some good arguments, if done strategically.
Semi’s make security sense.
The Indians are not buying gold now…..
