The only sensible policy is eliminating the junk food.
In Soviet Russia, if you saw a line you got in it. You purchased the item whatever it was as it would be in short supply the next day and you could trade for something you needed. A time consuming endeavour and you were constantly on edge not knowing whether you would be able to buy what you needed.
This is why people who lived through the Soviet era in Warsaw Pact Nations are overwhelmingly Conservative. Growing up I always wondered why they were so vocal about Government over-reach. My 30 year older Business Partner was initially an embarrassment to take places where he questioned what was being told to us. Helped give me that “Fuck you” attitude. Too bad he’s long gone. We need those people no matter how abrasive they were.
