The official story is that the U.S. needs to stay competitive to beat China in an Artificial Intelligence arms race, but that story does not add up. The United States has already built over 4,000 data centers. China ranks at number four with 368. What they appear to be is the infrastructure for a new financial system, one that includes mass surveillance and autonomous weapons systems to protect it.
The U.S. dollar system is quickly collapsing, which would devastate the entire world economy. The only solution being played out is the AI agentic economy which requires a massive amount of computing power. This new AI agentic system will be run by autonomous software entities that can own wallets, earn and spend money, create contracts, and transact with each other without human intermediaries. This addresses the debt problem by growing the economy faster than the debt accumulates. Like the petrodollar, it extends U.S. dollar hegemony without fixing its core issue, the debt.

The New World Order
We are living through the most consequential reorganization of world power since 1945 and the geological advantage for all nations is clearly centered in the Arctic region. The new multi-polar world order is forming and with it, a new financial system is being built. A new world order in which energy, food, and metals become the new reserve assets. Each of the major players is constructing financial systems designed to function independently as well as internationally.
There are four emerging Blocs in this multi-polar world order, the American Bloc which is looking to include all of North America, Latin America, and Greenland. The Middle East is being fought for right now. The Russian Bloc is looking to include much of its former Soviet states as well as parts of Africa and the Balkans. The Chinese Bloc is looking to include South and Southeast Asia, as well as parts of Africa. And the European Bloc is looking to include the core EU and its surrounding Periphery.
As a clue to where ‘staying competitive’ will lead us is that this same argument was made during the Clinton Presidency to get rid of Glass-Steagal (“to stay competitive with international banking”) – and hence the financialization behemoths we face today. Is the threat real that Chinese AI is going to control American lives and it can’t be stopped, so in response we should adopt our own AI that would NEVER (wink wink) be used for similar purpose. Govt/corp mass surveilance can’t happen without massive financialization – happening at this moment.
Anyone under 60 will realize what living in THE MATRIX means before they pass.
