The court’s ruling is judicial activism at its worst—a Clinton-appointed judge rewriting federal authority to undermine border security. Title 10 clearly empowers POTUS to federalize the Guard when states fail to protect federal operations. California’s refusal to quell violent protests targeting ICE left DHS no choice but to act.
The Guard isn’t enforcing laws—they’re shielding agents from mobs hurling projectiles and blocking detention centers. Newsom’s dereliction created this crisis. Every Guardsman on the ground is there because state leaders abandoned their duty.
Weak rulings won’t stop the mission—law enforcement comes first.
