At least 17 killed in major Russian attack that included rare strikes on center of Ukrainian capital
KYIV, Ukraine (AP) — A major Russian air attack on Kyiv early Thursday, including a rare strike in the city center that damaged the European Union’s diplomatic offices, killed at least 17 people and wounded 48 more, authorities said. Ukraine’s Air Force said Russia launched 598 strike drones and decoys and 31 missiles of different types across the country early Thursday, most of them striking targets in Kyiv.

Combatants do NOT reduce military activity during negotiations for a truce or Peace…in fact it behooves them to increase it.
Russian forces have sunk the Ukrainian reconnaissance ship Simferopol with a naval drone strike, according to the Defense Ministry in Moscow.
The vessel was struck in the delta of the River Danube, part of which is located in Ukraine’s Odessa Region, the ministry said in a statement on Thursday.
“As a result of the attack, the Ukrainian ship sank,” the Defense Ministry said.
This was the first successful use of a sea drone to take out a Ukrainian Navy vessel, TASS reported later in the day, citing a UAV expert.
