BREAKING: CRIMINAL REFERRALS for Jerome Powell may be sent by MULTIPLE members of Congress after Powell LIED about the $2.5 billion “renovation” at the Federal Reserve Building, per FHFA Chair Bill @Pulte
Powell needs not just to be fired, but PROSECUTED.
Perjury is a crime!

Pulte’s call for accountability here is spot-on. Powell’s $2.5B renovation scandal reeks of the same bureaucratic rot that fleeces taxpayers daily. The Fed Chair swore under oath there were no VIP perks—yet plans show private elevators, marble upgrades, and “vegetated roof spaces.” That’s not a renovation; it’s a palace coup on the public dime.
Congress rubber-stamping this waste while families struggle with inflation proves D.C.’s priorities are upside down. Prosecute the perjury, claw back the cash, and dismantle the culture of elite impunity.
No more Versailles bureaucrats—it’s time for real accountability.
Every detail of this taxpayer-funded excess deserves daylight—see the receipts:
He should be prosecuted but this is more likely going to lead to somekind of deal. Rate cut in July and retire in next few months and it all goes away.
Lying “tight money” Powell will be replaced with a lying loose money somebody. Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.
Yup … a disaster in the making. I thought Dimon had his back.
Didn’t Luongo say Powell was effectively part of “Trust the Plan”?
Regardless of whatever the specific issue might be — how is Republicans executing Lawfare ANY different from what the Democrats have been doing for the past 8 years? Why would it be acceptable now? Didn’t we all scream that lawfare was the cowards way to resolve a perceived problem.
Isn’t this similar to multiple legal proceedings we watched with disgust where TRUMP was accused of a various crimes simply because the Democrats wanted a hook to get him out of the way.
What DOES SEEM TO BE revealed here is that the US Government does NOT have the authority to fire any portion of the US Federal Reserve (most likely due to FED being a private corporation owned by BIS, Other Central Banks and specific elite families). Nor does it appear that the Gov’t has power to change the contracting agreement with same (or they would bring money creating into US Treasury where ZERO Interest would be due to the banks). The interest problem was created allowing US Federal Reserve Bank to control the money supply WHEN THAT WAS THE ROLE of US Treasury (removing interest costs to the participating banks).
If the Executive Branch truly HAS the power and Powell is the wrong man executing the wrong strategy for the country – than FIRE HIM.
Take the flack that occurs because of confidence in your policies and stop making the US system look weak by creating another lawfare “diversionary” gambit. You may be able to trade “I’ll let you off the hook on these charges if you will just resign” scenario but this is NOT leadership.
Leveraging Powell from his job so that he can be replaced by a more compliant servant is NOT fixing the long term problem!

Perhaps there is a legally binding side agreement somewhere (probably signed ~1917) that says US Gov’t can pretend it has control but agrees they can do NOTHING to touch the policies & personnel of the privately owned FED RESERVE BANK???
True. They should eliminate the FED but that is more likely to happen after the economic upheaval from the collapsed currency, not prior to.
