If Ukraine sign the mineral resource deal that the US might (not will but might) get back some money from the Biden open pocketbook fiasco but they have to continue dealing with the most corrupt country in Europe.
If Ukraine doesn’t sign than Trump wins a free “get out of this war” pass and can walk away with his head held high that he gave it the best possible chance for success but this is Europes war not Americas and we are out! Of course he doesn’t get the $300B but the “real” chances of that are next to nill anyways and he gets to walk away while the $300B loss remains part of JB’s legacy (not Trumps).

Talk about nonsense. The U.S. has been lying to Russia ever since the break up of the Soviet Union. At every single turn when Russia offered the hand of friendship, it was slapped away. Virtually everyone in the Russian leadership has described the US as being “agreement incapable”. That’s a diplomatic way of calling them a bunch of liars. Why would you think Russia foolish enough to consider Americans allies? They will deal with the US in a business like fashion. That is essential. They are two of the three super powers. An ordered world requires it. For all the happy talk, Russia will never trust the US again.

If you think Trump is the magic one who will make Putin believe, after thirty five years, that America finally has a trustworthy leader, consider how, at this very point in time, Trump is treating his actual allies. He is reneging on virtually every agreement America has made with them. Just a few weeks ago, he took credit for a cease fire agreement between Israel and Hamas. He and Israel have broken it from the start. In his first term he threw out a trade agreement with Mexico and Canada. They renegotiated a new agreement which he is now breaking. His two closest neighbours, and largest trade partners are repeatedly dishonoured. He repeatedly breaks World Trade rules without concern. Do you really think other nations don’t notice this behaviour? Do you think Putin doesn’t? At the moment, it is Putin playing Trump. He is doing what Trump does to others. He is telling Trump what he wants, and if he doesn’t get it then Trump can fuck off. What’s Trump going to do about it?
