YOU CAN’T HANDLE THE TRUTH
Truth can be painful. And human beings are less driven by the pursuit of pleasure than by the avoidance of pain. Many Americans have yet to discover the truth of what happened to them and their country over the last three years, and I suspect I know why: They can’t handle the truth
For others, though, reality came swift and hard. They choose the easy route. They complied, followed orders, judiciously raised their fists in indignation whenever a curious mind challenged the logic of the “experts.” They wove a cocoon around themselves and their families and went into intellectual hibernation. Just as they refused to expose themselves to the natural environment, complying time and again with the injection of toxins with the promise of protection from a now-extinct Chinese respiratory virus, they guaranteed the weakening of their natural immune system and its inability to respond to ubiquitous pathogens. These Americans refused to face mental and emotional reality. They created a fantasy world where covering their faces with dirty cloth would keep them safe and never leaving their houses would prolong their lives. They chose to abuse their children by chaining them to a Zoom screen in the bedroom. They destroyed their friendships. They abandoned their parents. For three years, they rejected reality entirely, so much so that their minds lost the ability to engage with it.
Stockholm syndrome
‘Ain’t that the truth. Easier for the mentally ill to keep wearing their face rags and telling themselves that this protects them than to face the reality that they were lied to.
I suppose this is not unlike those who refuse to engage in talking about the horrors our government perpetuated upon us. They would rather change the subject or shrug and say “oh well, we had to do something to save lives” than admit this was one big experiment and nothing more
The shock of betrayal was just too much for most to handle. We went from a world where government was generally considered incompetent but benevolent and the people were the ones in charge of choosing the leadership, for better of for worse, to a world where we discover we have no input or power at all, that plentitudes of dirty money was the driving force behind the corruption of all we thought good and positive and that those in charge harbour true felings of mocking hatred towards the populace at large. That was a big pill to swallow. More than the typical person could take. The problem for them was the fact that it takes a lifetime of learning to doubt and fear those in power to develop the spidey senses to know when you are being targeted for harm and possible extermination. Some of us had already learned by knowing our history and paying attention to the signs at hand. But the majority was simply oblivious and trusting. They were therefore unwilling to look deeper when faced with the true nature and depth of the malice at hand and rather than fight back against something so strangely foreign, they aquiesced and complied to save their injured sensibilities from more of the mental raping. And that is as far as they got. They cannot move from that boxed confinement. There are now prisoners of thier own thought patterns and nobody is holding them back more than they themselves. Very few seem able to escape the black hole of disbelief.
