Remastered
the original recording was horridly mixed,
but THIS … this is the real (early and raw) Genesis
We are only wanting freedom
We are only wanting freedom
We are only wanting freedom
We are only wanting freedom (Freedom, freedom, freedom, freedom)
We are only wanting freedom (Things are getting out of control here today)
We are only wanting freedom (OK men, fire over their heads!)

Stand up and fight, for you know we are right
We must strike at the lies
That have spread like disease through our minds
Soon we’ll have power, every soldier will rest
And we’ll spread out our kindness
To all who our love now deserve
Some of you are going to die
Martyrs of course to the freedom that I shall provide
not for flimsy audio devices … audiophile systems, headphones, or equiv, AND LOUD
FREEDOM !!!
About Hi-fi …I’ve just bought a pair of B&W DM4 from the 70’s in perfect condition for just 250 euro!
They sounds amazing and another incredible improvement was the purchase of the IFI phono ….I’ve never listened to my vinyl like now.
They both worth at least ten times the value of their price 🙂
I hear you Mamare. I have some 30 year old floor standing Thiel CS2.2s waiting for when I get better settled.
In the meantime, have a vintage 2.1 system with Monsoon electrostatics (ribbon speakers) for my PC that are now among my prized possessions. Model MM-700. Collectors items although you can still find defective subs easily enough on ebay. But not cheap.
The Thiel CS2.2s sounds amazing.
YES, Pedro! You are dating yourself with this one. I saw them on the ‘Selling England by the Pound’ tour in, I think late ’73 or early ’74, at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium and on ‘The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway’ tour in probably 1975 at the Shrine Auditorium, both in Southern California. What a band before Gabriel left. Pretty good afterward too, but not quite the same chemical reaction.
