Event 201 was an exercise in pandemic preparedness that was sponsored by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation in partnership with Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security, the WHO and WEF during October of 2019. The tabletop exercises preceded the actual outbreak of Covid19 and led to considerable doubt about the authenticity of the Corona outbreak due to its curiously accurate timing and similarity with real events that eventually unfolded.

And now some of those same actors have just completed another tabletop exercise which is rather dramatically titled Catastrophic Contagion. You can read the brief summary of lessons learned from the exercise in the link attached. It will come as no surprise that control over the narrative is high on the list of priorities. Comments like the following are notable:

“Countries should prioritize efforts to increase trust in government and public health; improve public health communication efforts; increase the resiliency of populations to misleading information; and reduce the spread of harmful misinformation”.

If you thought the madness of extraordinary pandemics management and control over the worlds populations in the face of a disease threat had gone away, then think again. Planning is clearly underway in preparation for the next disease outbreak with a focus on Africa and underdeveloped nations judging by the list of participants. The list includes Health Ministers from Senegal, Rwanda, Nigeria, Angola, Liberia, Singapore and India. If I recall correctly, Bill warned us another pandemic was coming and we would pay better attention the next time it happened. This exercise appears to be forewarning of the follow-up pandemic which will emerge from Africa.
