I think I understand the argument as presented; however, maybe someone here can clarify something for me. Also, I did not watch the 4.5 video.
If the real risk reduction is zero, why do old people seem to be faring better after getting vaccinated? There does not seem to be any breakouts in nursing homes and such. If the real risk reduction was zero, it seems that the elderly at-risk population would still be dying from Covid in large numbers. Since they are not, and the vaccines don’t work, does this remaining elderly population have some pre-existing immunity? My 85 year old father-in-law (with multiple comorbidities) has gone back to life as usual after being vaccinated, as have most elderly vaccinated people, and totally trusts the vaccine. Is this not a good idea or does the vaccine actually work for some period for this group?
If the real risk reduction is zero doesn’t the significant dropoff in cases and deaths just prove that herd immunity has taken effect, naturally. It has run it’s course. That is why the politicians and medical establishment and media have delayed opening things up for as long as possible and pushed vaccinations(including bribes) as hard as they could. If no vaccinations took place we would be essentially in the same place, but the “official narrative” would be discredited.
