Still dominatated by stupidity
A little up-close snippet re covid:
We winter in an RV park in Melbourne, Florida. We’ve been here since late October after spending all summer in RV parks in Tennessee. The RV park in Melbourne is a 55+ community, no pets allowed, and the average age here is likely 75. Lots of old folks who have a permanent site here.
Since Jan 1, 2021 the main topic of conversation is “have you had your shot yet?” Then the stories of having to go hither and yon to get poked. Folks have driven as far as Jacksonville to get “the shot” which is two hours+ away. One couple flew north to get theirs in their hometown.
If you ask these folks why they get the shot, it’s because they believe they have immunity – like all vaccines “promise.” Nary a one knows that immunity is not a part of the covid shot.
Now, there are three hundred spaces here. We are usually full, but running about 90% this winter. Average occupancy is 2 folks, so figure 525 – 540 people in the park, with about 20% of that being transient. So there are probably over 700 people that have either passed through the park or are here for several months.
Want to guess how many cases of covid we’ve had since October? Go ahead, guess. Keep in mind that we go in and out of the park all the time for basic necessities, just like you do at home. Groceries, haircuts, meals out, gas, Walmart excursions, car service, doctor appointments, etc., etc., etc. Add to that all the sightseeing and outdoor activities – biking, kayaking, fishing, and so on.
Did you guess?
Here’s the answer.
Zero.
No covid cases. Not one. Among the most vulnerable in the population, in Florida, a wide open state. No mask mandates. A governor who will not wear a mask.
Stupid is a stubborn infection. It takes dynamite to blow it up. Dynamite has not arrived yet, and I doubt it ever will. Here’s why.
We used to tell people who were excited about getting their shots that the shot does not make them immune. They simply won’t accept it. Like a brick wall with a tennis ball thrown at it, the info just bounces back to us.
Even folks who early on swore they would not get the shot, have gotten the shot.
Overcoming propaganda on the scale we’ve been subjected to is a daunting task – I dare say it is impossible. People have to wake up on their own initiative. Information, reason, facts, stats – it all matters not.
Just like that clip with Rand Paul ripping Fauci – the response is “I strongly disagree with you.”
My hope is that one day the world will turn on those people who did this to us. Who ruined lives, destroyed lives, sent people to certain death, who lied through their teeth while smiling about it – a bit of mob rule, where they are dragged into the streets and beaten, or perhaps tarred and feathered.
But that is not how the world works anymore. It did once upon a time, but no more.
We have not enough men left, men with chests, a backbone, and good minds full of courage. We are overwhelmed with idiots and charlatans, not by chance, but by design. When one is incapable of rationale thought, hell awaits. And here we are.
Great Post Boomer
It’s mind numbing
Lunacy !
I get the same here…people politely listen but you can se it doesn’t register
We hear of random deaths and severe side effects almost immediately but most just have relatively minor side effects
early on….NO telling what it will do to them going forward…but we have reason to believe Nothing Good !
Desantis is a hero ! Thank God for him…really …His response in now being seen even by the Chicken Littles retards as
having been correct .
Warm regards Boomer

Great post. Very familiar, as I’m in an over 55 condo zone in southern AZ.
The bigger picture is that so many folks still actually TRUST authority figures.
Back in the day, I could ‘sorta’ understand that.
But now its clear that those positions are political, involve connections and paybacks.
Its all one big money wheel.
I’m beyond skepticism. I run the OTHER WAY.
PS — will be wintering in the Melbourne area next winter. Indiatlantic if I can swing it.
I do a lot of listening on ham radio. Just reinstated my license after thirty five years off the air. Unbelievably, it took me only 24 hours to get a new call sign and license. Anyway, the main conversation I’ve heard for weeks is about first shots, second shots, etc. etc. It is a gigantic brain washing job and if people are just listening to the mainstream and not investigating alternate opinions there is no way out. It really shows how totalitarian regimes gain power and maintain it. Great post, Silverboom.
I have my Yaesu FTdx400 in my office. 500 watt sweep tube finals! It runs so hot it can be used to heat food…
North. I got my ticket in the Panama Canal Zone in 1969.
Great,Noman. I got my first ticket in Montreal in 1968. 🙂 I am planning to use my old Yaesu FT 101 ZD once I get my antenna up there. It is about 40 years old and still working. Had it in storage for decades. I guess we never give this obsession up, Noman.
