Covid-19 Hospitalizations
I don’t think I can add a chart as a reply to Northstar’s, so here is the chart here.
Hospitalizations data seems to be a little harder to come by (I wish worldometer or john hopkins would post something like this). However, hospitalizations are really the precursor to death because it only seems like when hospitals get “over-loaded” does the death rate go up rapidily.
Disclaimer: I just don’t know how accurate this is: https://ycharts.com/indicators/us_coronavirus_hospitalizations
Thanks Kemmrich. The hospitalisation data has been showing steady rises for some time now, so it’s not unreasonable to expect deaths to start going up. This is likely just a secondary ‘blip’ after the ‘main event’, but with less strict lockdowns and quicker ‘easing’ it’ll be interesting to see what happens. Either way, this is all still part of the ‘first wave’. A true second wave (if it happens) will start in October/November and peak in the Norther Hemisphere Winter. Let’s just hope Fully is right and herd immunity does it’s thing. That’ll work as long as it doesn’t do what flu does (mutate and come back in a different form every season). A bit like the PM market – time will tell.
The hospitalizations are “with covid” not all because of covid
All patients are being screened no matter what they are there for
A large % are being found to test positive but without sysmptoms.
They are counted as covid cases hospitalized ..even if they are there due to an accident or heart attack or cancer treatment or cataract surgery or or or !
Now get this
If the patient dies from the accident or from a heart attack he is added to the covid death list as it must be recorded on the death certificate.
So even though they came to the hospital for nothing to do with covid ..if they happened to test positive …they are on the covid death list
The good news is the Govt pays a LOT more for a person in the hospital with a positive test
every time they get a positive test and admit that patient …cha ching !!!!
Scam
