As many know Bill Maher is a comedian and political commentator.
Personally he is my favorite Living Comedian and Political Commentator. ( because George Carlin is Dead )
His chief target lately of course is the present POTUS.
He is loved by the left and hated by the right .
But that is a mischaracterization.
Bill calls out the far left nearly as often as he calls out the far right .
Which puts him squarely in the middle…of everything

Sorry, Maher is not even in the same league as Carlin. Maher possess an underlying vile slime that permeates everything he does. Also, Carlin wouldn’t be rooting for a depression to destroy a presidency. He thought more of people.

Maher is an arrogant ass who mocks and ridicules that of which he knows NOTHING. He considers anyone who believes in God to be of lesser intelligence. Considering men such as Kurt Godel and Antony Flew that position appears to make Bill Maher the fool.
He’s also an extreme social “liberal” and does NOT show impartiality in hammering extremes of the right and left. He relishes hammering the Right for any and every reason, but only hammers the Left when he believes the Left is damaging itself politically.
The only good thing I can say about him is he recognizes that Political Correctness is a poison to life in general and not just politics.

Okay. Show me the proof that the entire universe has always existed and needed no Creator. That was proven false when in 1965 Allan Penzias and Robert Wilson discovered the echo of the Big Bang and the world paradigm changed from a universe that was eternal to a universe that had a beginning.

Furthermore, when a person is like Maher, committed to answering only to himself, he will NEVER believe in a Supreme Being that has a claim on his or her moral behavior. The demands of Christ are unequivocal and absolute so most people (not only Bill Maher) prefer to be their own “god”.

Very interesting that Maher (and apparently you as well) demand of professing Christains what you wouldn’t encumber yourself with. (But oh, we never claimed to be “perfect”, most men like Maher will say.)
Well if you’re not willing to play in the game you don’t get to make the rules. Imfallibility doesn’t imply impeccability. Just because most Christians fail to perfectly follow Christ doesn’t make Christianity false.
Maher is very selective in his demands: he calls Christians who speak against abortion, adultery or same-sex “marriage” haters and bigots and he wants to choose “cafeteria style” the points of Christian teaching he finds acceptable. (Give me a double-serving of love and forgiveness, but no thank you to the sexual morals of those ignorant book-thumpers.)

The biggest problem with Christianity in the Western World is the fact that it is heretical. It is NOT the “faith once delivered” as St. Paul said. All of it: Roman, Anglican and Protestant is heretical.
The original Christian Faith is Orthodoxy. God does not apply guilt to human beings in the womb: that is a heretical teaching due to Jerome’s mistranslation of Romans 5:12 and was enlarged to a massive heresy by Augustine. Neither does God “hate” men who reject Him,; neither does He create a torture chamber in which to place them. That is false. What happens to those who reject Him? They want no part of Christ so He leaves them alone…in the Darkness Outside.

From my understanding about Evangelicals ( which I wrongly assumed you were)…they absolutely believ that if you do not believe in Christ you are damned for eternity
Also as you mentioned the Catholic Crusades…kill in the name of God
But I am not programmed against Christians…I just believe religion can be toxic
