Although I bought NOVO with the intent to hold through thick and thin, I am toying with letting it go if it bounces up from here. I am leery of news on it and am fearful of an Nov.-Dec debacle in gold.
I know the news on it is very good, but can it really get any better short term..? Any opinions?

Just a gut feeling,I think. I hate to let profits get away and the near term sentiment seems to be turning negative. The problem is obvious. I could be too hasty.
I know what your feelings are and so does mr market.Typical emotional reaction of thought and he knows, almost like he has an algorithm for it. Probably an easy program to write and use it against you to make you puke. Think about it,simple enough to do by the big players, ya think pump and dump the only trick? Easy way out here for you is to sell half , this way it is splitting your emotions in the middle and both sides of your brain are satisfied.

I’m taking the other side. In a year, I see this stock at $100. I am worried that if I buy & sell now, news could come out that would make it impossible for me to get back the number of shares I now own. I say let it go up and down in the short term, hold it through thick and thin, and reap the reward a year from now. Of course, you have to be able to sleep at night, so you have to be comfortable with your own decision.

The End Game for NVO-KL-ARV (and more)
A fast approaching Anomaly for NVO / KL shareholders was not written to simply describe a unique “birth of Major” story. It was also written to explain a logical strategy to ensure continued fortifcation during this Wits-2 development phase. And to explain the unprecedented nature of this story.
A very real scenario is that in the next 3 to 6 months, NVO market cap will exceed that of KL. This is not a desirable event, because it is KL which will in fact become more vulnerable to hostile takeover than NVO. And one also has to understand that the external “Big Money” that has been restrained to this point, will no longer be so if Wits-2 begins to turn into reality. And much more money will be aimed at KL than has ever been in the past.
The end-game for ES is not guaranteed yet. But we can see what it is already occurred. He is not building this NVO / KL Pilbara business to sell off prematurely. As a billionaire already, this is more about his seat on top of the global gold production industry than it is about increasing personal wealth.
ES will have to consolidate KL / NVO (and I believe ARV shortly) – he has to before the Bigger Money has enough Wits-2 evidence to move on him and attack his weakest flank (the cheapest takeout path). The trigger will be the ballooning NVO Market Cap which will lead all other asset valuations – especially KL and ARV – by multiples.
The end-game will need to have all assets of these 3 companies rolled up into a single, integrated, and secure Major Producer/Developer/Explorer all under his stewardship – with no vulnerable area open to takeover. It will be a single corporate entity with likely the largest gold district on the planet anchored in the Aussie assets.
I truely believe this whole thing is already underway. It only needs a high probability of a Wits-2 resource to take place – something that is a mere several months into the future. And all of ES’s actions to date indicate that he already believes that the resource is there.
This is why it is critical that NVO share prices need to be very carefully managed. No mistakes, no false data, No premature NRs, and full transparency with the market. NVO must be a sterling bullet-proof operation for the next few months. They are a critical piece in building a global Major gold corporation in short order.
Why this story may end up being historic is not just because of the resource in question, but how the management implemeted a pre-meditated plan to secure most of proceeds. I really don’t think the market or the outside world has grasped yet what is going on here, but if one looks at all the moving parts the plan does reveal itself.
And the most remarkable part of it all: If the Wits-2 reality explodes onto the world stage, the above scenario could play out in a time span of just a year or so.
In Summary:
This is not BreX, not DFR, not AUR, etc. – not even close. This is something that I doubt any of us investors have ever seen before. And if it does work out as I think it will, it really will be a once-in-lifetime win that will go on for years.
So don’t fret about minor “dry spells” with NRs. If they are not high impact to permanently drive NVO stock upwards, then they aren’t worth releasing.
And don’t day trade is my advice. Not with what’s at stake
